I don't know the name of it. My Ukrainian neighbour baked this and it was delicious. I'll describe: A braided round of bread with a very thin, flat bread base. The center was filled with a mixture of baked egg and cottage cheese. She baked this for Christmas and Easter. Picture this: In a small round cake pan is a thin, flat layer of dough, covering the entire bottom. A braid of bread is placed on top of it around the inside edge of the pan, touching and folded at the ends. Inside the center is the raw cottage cheese-egg mixture, which will bake firm when the bread bakes. This is an old childhood memory. When baked, it resembles a pumpkin pie with a narrow braided ring around the edge. It is also sliced like a pie. It is not a loaf of bread in any way. It looks more like a pizza or a pie with a very thin braided ring encircling the outside edge. ~~~ responder ~~~
