Best Answer To Birds Question
i find using one of there purches easiest they eventually get use to going on it easy, better than trying to grab them with your hands and less painful and as long as they can see the cage they should eventually go back in when they are hungry , let them out when you can so they get use to coming and going to the cage hope this helps worth a try

Answer 7You should get a glove and pick it up and place it in the cage near a perch gently. i did the same mistake as you by letting it out, your parakeet might get dramatised so dont chase it around the house just be patient then grab it. what you need to do is whenever you pet it dont be scared when it bites you it shouldnt even make a red mark it does not hurt at all, the more it bites at you when you pet it the more it will undersstand that doesnt work , So it will just stop biting, You are lucky you got a baby under 1 month when they bite it feels less painless then a mosquito bite.
Answer 8With the greatest of difficulty..lol
Answer 9I used to get a little branch and lightly press it above their feet and she would step on then i would carefully carry her on the branch into her cage. The reason they step on is because they feel they are going to lose balance and you have to be very patiente and still. But good luck!
Answer 10Put some spray millet at the cage doors where they can see it. If that doesn't work, (with the millet still there) try turning off the light and have a portable lamp or flashlight near the cages, and they should go to the light like moths because they want to see. But be careful that no sudden loud noises are made when they're out with the light off because that could scare them and they could get hurt.
Answer 11Wait until nighttime when its dark, and turn the light off. Locate the bird with a torch, then diverting the light, or covering it a bit, pick them up. They may try and fly but will soon hit something- they have no night vision whatsoever. Sometimes mine just stay completely still until the second I put my hand around them. Over time though (quite a few months now!) mine are getting better at putting themselves away. They took a similar amount of time learning to eat fresh food (veg and stuff) so, obviously, patience is a virtue!!
