This coming January i'm going to Australia on a tight budget. I'd take a train, but I have a LOT of luggage! How much is a taxi from the airport to the centre? I'm staying right near Central Station.

Ask about airport shuttle services at your travel agency or at the airport when you arrive here. A shuttle service will be a bus thats heaps cheaper than a taxi and all your luggage will fit easily. Backpackers use these to get to the city all the time. I would'nt even consider taking the train as it will cost the same as a taxi.
