I have two cats: one is 7 years old and the other is 5 months. I'm trying to find out when is the right age to start feeding the 5 month adult food and stop the kitten food. I've looked on the food packages, but couldn't find anything about ages. Thanks! : ) ~~~ Erato ~~~

Usually, it's advised at about a year old. But I would feed at 8-9 mths. old. Figured if that's the age I "fix" my cats, then that's the time they can start adult food,.. which is lower in fat and protein content.

But if you're feeding your adult cat GOOD food, your kitten could eat that as well. By good food I mean food that doesn't come from the grocery store for starters.
