Answer 4yes..not with my money though, i'd much prefer to build a wall to keep immigrants out, like the welsh
Answer 5Reinstatement of the original salt marshes is a much more effective way of providing sea defences rather than wasting money on higher and higher walls. This is already being done in some locations by Nat. Trust and RSPB to great effect. It's also good for wildlife and doesn't release huge volumes of CO2 making concrete.
Answer 6Sea defence? Who against, "Zer Geeermanz"? Actually no...the cost for armouring against an invasion of the sea along 250 miles of coastline is prohibitive, and probaby pointless.
Answer 7i live here too and im affraid " the sheriff of nottingham" (brown) has robbed us enough, he should be spending our taxes on the uk not freeloaders from other countrys with no skills or rights to be here! if they spent it more wisely we would be ok" now they take £300 a day each in expenses! for what? wine and song.. the whole government are thieves and highway robbers " where's robin hood when u need him!
Answer 8What does the winner get? To stand on the sea-defences in a raging storm and test out if they work or not? To be strictly honest. I live smack-bang in the centre of England, I'm not overtly effected by rivers either unless I need to go into the town centre. I sympathise with these people however, I'm not going to pay into a fund that I won't benefit from. Who the hell is going to? There's more than enough people habituating on the East Coast to pay for their own sea defences, fact being though, we see it as something the Government should be doing. Is that true? I don't know, but I know I'd rather pay for my own defences than wait for the Government.
Answer 9According to the and their cohorts it would be more beneficial to allow the sea to reclaim the land!! Beneficial to whom- if they get their way it will be a relocation allowance you will need!! (see earlier answer)
