Elections : Who Can Beat A Rebublican In The General Election
If you hang out in the political room, you know this is my third politcal question. But can anyone beat a republican in November on the Dem side. Why if they can? Why not if you don't think they can? ~~~ chello ~~~
Best Answer To Elections Question
If the republican is Romney, todays polls show that pretty much any democratic candidate can do it. Mccain is the only one who shows a chance at beating Obama. The big question is, are the republicans smart enough to realize this and nominate Mccain? Sure, he's not a nazi-conservative like they'd ideally have, but isn't he better than a democrat? Funny, I don't remember polls showing Kerry winning. Your reality must be an interesting one.

Answer 5None, because no Democrat has spelled out a working plan for where and how they what to take this country forward. We have had a Democratic Congress well over the six month period that they said they were going to turn this country around. What have they accomplished? A vote for a Democrat is a vote to no where.

Answer 10Any Democrat will beat any Republican in the 2008 election. the American voter recognizes the Republican party for what it is: 100% corporate controlled false "family values" hate all minorities tax the poor and middle class to benefit the rich The American voters are counting the days until January 2009 when these Republican scoundrels are out of power.
Answer 11Well, let's take a look at the demo candidates. Shrillary... Not a chance. The general public doesn't trust her a bit and knows she is a power hungry socialist. Obama... No chance either. I hate to say it but I know the country is still filled with racists that won't let a Black man be president. He would be killed before he took office. I hate it but it is no less a fact. Kucinich? HAHAHAHA! No way in hell is this guy going to be president. Biden? Not a chance. Doesn't come off as likable and is almost as bitter as Shrillary. Edwards? Out of all the demo candidates, he is by far the best but he still comes off as a slick huckster. I could see myself voting for him if the Republicans can't get a decent runner or if it was between him an Giuliani. The only Republican I could see myself voting for is Fred Thompson and I don't really think he has a strong chance. It will come down to Romney or Giuliani. Romney is too "perfect" like Edwards. It would definitely be interesting to see who would win between Romney and Edwards. They both look like they are robots. Added: For those that claim the country is against the Republicans, have you seen the latest survey about the Democratic congress? Lowest approval rating EVER!!! Even lower than BUSH!!! You are SERIOUSLY deluded if you believe the majority is happy with the do nothing whiny Democrats. The majority is more po'ed at them than at Bush and that is saying a LOT!
Answer 12Okay, let's go with a few things here. Compiling EVERY poll released this past year, here are the results. Obama wins against every Republican by a wide margin. The only one who comes close is McCain. Edwards also wins against every Republican by a wide margin, though a bit slimmer than Obama's lead. Again, McCain is the toughest competitor. Hillary wins against every Republican except McCain, but with only very small leads. Now Congress. The only reason a Democratic controlled congress is that they don't have full control. The Republicans stop progress either in congress of by the veto of George .
