Elections : Who Is The Best Presidential Candidate To Lead Our Country
Is it one of the front-runners (Rudy Guiliani and Tom Huckabee for the Republicans, Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton for the Democrats) or is it someone else? Why did you pick this person, and what specifically do you think your chosen candidate will do to fix the problems facing our country? Problems such as gas prices, our effect on the environment, social security reform, the situation with Iran, and health care reform plague our nation. I'm curious what other people think about the candidates. ~~~ wetwillyworld69 ~~~
Best Answer To Elections Question
I personally do not believe that Hilary Clinton or Rudy Guliani is either ready or capable of successfully running our country. On that point I would like to say that as a whole I do not devotedly support any particular candidate because on the issues I consider myself a mainstay moderate, believing in different stances on different issues. For Republicans, I like Ron Paul but I do not believe that he is the right man to be the President of the United States based on his isolationist views. For Democrats, I like Barack Obama, however he seems indecisive on many issues which leaves me concerned as to whether that indecisive nature would carry over to the White House. Therefore, for the Republicans I would have to say the best Presidential candidate to lead our country is Mitt Romney. He seems confident in his morals and stances. I am pro-choice, which Mr. Romney is not, but that is a compromise I am willing to make. I like Mr. Romneys stance on Civil Rights regarding Gay Marriage, which is a stance that sternly states that marriage is between a man and a woman. I have to make many compromises in my beliefs to vote for any Republican candidate, but I feel Romney is the best man to lead our country in the Republican party. In the Democrats, Joe Biden is the best Presidential Candidate. I like him on education, immigration reform, and social security reform.

Answer 5I remember Barry Goldwater. He was a ham radio operator. However, I have to go with Huckabee. But, if it was not for the fact that I am a conservative, I really like Obama. I will say that if Clinton runs, I will vote for any Republican that is running against her. If Obama runs I will have to think about it a little. I will still move than likely go with the Republican, but, will have to really listen during the campaign.
Answer 6Ron Paul. He has already introduced a bill that would repeal the Federal Gas Tax, The Senior Tax Elimination Act woul repeal the tax on SS benefits, The Social Security For Americans Only Act is self explanatory, Also introduced a bill that would stop the government from "borrowing" from theSS fund illegal. you can check out his website for more if you would like.
Answer 7Ron Paul He cares about the people and there rights not about war , corporate interests or power. He will have peaceful foreign policies that would end the wars and help the hatred between nations to heal. He would give us back true property rights that not even the government can take away or tax
Answer 8Las Vegas bets continue to say it will be Rudy and Hillary running in '08. Personally.. I don't like any of them. I've never voted straight party lines anyway, but it seems at least one of them would have an attactive agenda.
Answer 9I think Hilary Clinton would be our best choice for Obama gets the parties nomination , we will have another Republican in the White House. He is clearly not Presidential ready. He will help the black community, more so than any other ethnic groups.. I am not really against that but I think he will not treat us all evenly when making choices for the American people. Grant you , I think someone should be a president for all the people. I'm just not to sure about him. These are just my thoughts about the question here.
Answer 10IT comes down to two choices for me Fred Thompson or Hillary Clinton.,but if it would come down to obama I would vote for the person running against him because theres no way obama gets my vote.
