My own! It was on the edge of a lake, surrounded by rainforest with just a 20 people and a marriage celebrant. After the ceremony, we went to a resort and had lunch around the pool, then went swimming and drinking for the rest of the day. Everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been too.

Answer 5MY FRIENDS GOT MARRIED ON A NUDE BEACH AND I DO NOT THINK I WILL EVER FORGET STANDING THERE NUDE WITH THE REST OF THE WEDDING GUESTS.
Answer 6The best wedding was my brother-in-law's wedding to his second wife, and what made it special was that they were both single parents starting over and had virtually nothing... but the whole family pulled together and helped with the food and music. The wedding was in the church, and the reception in the church hall, so no one had to travel and kill time (THAT was great!). It was a lovely wedding.. not ostentatious but NICE and you could feel the love and support. Twenty years later they are doing well and still going strong :) And I think that part of what made it memorable was that everyone helped with something, and that made us all feel like we had a stake in the success of the wedding.. in some way we were all hosts as well as guests :)
Answer 7Their were disposable cameras on all of the tables at the reception because the bride and groom wanted everyone's view of their wedding. They had a drop off box for the cameras next to the wishing well where all the cards are dropped off. The older kids got cameras too. If you are having children coming to your reception as this couple did; they put together the tiny bubbles that you see at wedding that some couples prefer having them blown at them instead of rice or birdseed thrown at them. They put together bubbles, ribbon crowns and glow bracelets and wands so the kids would have some fun to. They just put them on all the tables. Instead of peanuts and mints.. They had gummi bears... It was a quiet reception because the kids were happy playing ( adults were also standing by to watch the kids)and the adults had fun with the goodies too!
Answer 8I think the best weddings come about because of who was invited and present. The best ones I have been to just had a really good mix of people that all had a great time togethor. Try not to invite any asholes you will be fine! Secondly, nice food and alcohol always go down well too!
Answer 9Two come to mind, well no three lol But the BEST eva was a sarong thong wedding. Everyone was dressed in simple summer clothes the bridal party (even the celebrant!) were dressed in sarongs thongs (flip flops) The ceremony was on a secluded beach the reception was at a beautiful hotel opposite the beach, it was just a relaxing wedding. Most people didnt know many other guests so it was a great way to meet people all that attended had a fab time. The second would have to be my sisters. While it was really very formal, the night was simply beautiful. Everything worked perfectly nobody was out of place. What made it most memorable for me was my daughter sitting by herself in a patch of grass holding a butterfly. The butterflys were released just after the ceremony this one in particular decided to hang around...with my daughter ;o) Then at the end of the night I will never forget her being soooo tired but still managed to find the energy to chase the hundreds of ballons around!! The third was my cousins. It was set high in The Blue Mountains (Sydney, Australia) the backdrop was stunning the night went off without a hitch. One of the funniest parts was when the bride groom asked every table to write a message to them that would be read out at the end of the night. Some of them were hilarious!!!
Answer 10I went to a wedding recently and the bride and groom had arranged a list of married or seriously dating couples that were attending the reception and gave it to the DJ. So after three or four times of people clinking on the glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss, the DJ said that the bride and groom had something in store to "payback" the guests. Everytime that people started clinking the glasses the DJ called out the name of a couple on the list and that couple had to kiss first, then the newlyweds had to mimick them and outdo them. It was pretty cute, especially seeing the grandparents :)
Answer 11beach wedding. .sg
Answer 12Good dancing and music are key! You could also do a few fun things to kind of lighten the mood! The DJ at my parent's wedding was amazing! He had my dad pick out like five of his best guy friends from the audience and didn't tell him why. Then he engaged all of the men in a hoola hooping contest! It was hillarious! One of the men was my grandpa and he was nearly as large as the hoola hoop! Anyway, the winner got a dance with my mom. You could also play the "candy Man" song from willie wonka and toss candy out to the kids before the garter and boquet toss! Another cool thing would be to burn the "special" songs onto a CD for your guests to take home. Another neat thing would be to encorporate wedding traditions from your bacground into the ceremony or reception. Read into the history of weddings around the world and pick out a cool tradition you like that is not common in the usa and try it out!
Answer 13I've been to a few good weddings in Scotland, mostly made memorable because of the dancing, most of the weddings I attended had a Scottish Country music band play for around half the evening, and everyone got up and danced the old country dances like Strip the Willow and Dashing White Sargent, everyone gets involved, young and old, and that's what made it for me, because everyone knew how to do the dances so the older folk were not just left sitting at tables bored out of their brains.
Answer 14when they did the garter toss . it came to the part where the guy is to put the garter on the girl who caught the bouquet. they blind folded the guy and had one of the groomsmen sit in the chair instead . the poor guy didn't know what was happening till he tried to put the garter on. lol it was really different but really funny. we all loved it.
Answer 15I went to a wedding where they had a chocolate fountain at the reception, with all kinds of fruit. It was great, everyone danced to all kinds of music. The bride and groom were happy, so were the parents. The DJ kept everyone laughing and it was great. Get a great DJ, he will keep the party rolling or a good wedding planner can.
Answer 16the best wedding i ever attended was a double wedding in a country setting in a church next to a gazebo. the reception was at a rustic and charming country club with a pig roast! the wedding had so many bbq items. i think that the mix of formal and laid-back made it the perfect epitome of a "shabby-chic" wedding. they even had hay rides. it was great. the funniest wedding my husband went to was a surprise wedding (no it was not his own!). the bride and groom planned a large picnic in park and came up over the crest of a hill in their wedding attire. everyone was so happy and it saved everyone the normal planning anxiety everyone had. good luck on whatever you choose. no matter what you choose, your wedding will always be special to you, and that is what matters the most.
Answer 17We are from the south and the bride was geting married because she was preggo so her dad carried a shotgun in the crook of his arm when he walked her down the aisle as a joke. It wasn't pointing at anybody or loaded, carried almost like a boquet or something. "Shotgun wedding" get it? It was pretty funny.
