Answer 41I tend to make a bread tray. First off find a nice sized platter 1 fresh loaf of either pumpernickel or hawaiian sweet bread hollow out the center to form a small bowl in the center, but leave room on the bread to add the following. fresh fruit/veggies: grapes, cherries, bite size pieces of melon olives, carrots, celery, radishes; also deli meat...turkey and roast beef are really popular; as well as baby swiss and mini weenies and chunks of chedderjack I usually roll up a piece of cheese inside the deli meat; and cut into chunks...toothpick this onto the bread and arrange fresh fruit and veggies around the tray with a few slices of orange for added garnish. In the middle put your favorite dip. Knorrs has an awesome spinich dip...or sometimes you can just put ranch dip or dressing. whatever you like. People at a bbq tend to like fingerfoods and this is always a hit when I go to my friends. I've actually started getting special requests for this. There's always leftover meat; cheese; fruite, veggies that I couldn't get onto the tray so I bring them along to refill the platter. I never go home with leftover food.

Slice or cube some tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, drizzle with olive oil and marinate in Italian dressing? You could add some chunks of cauliflower and okra, too. The fresher the vegetables, the better!
