Home Theater : Im Looking For A Speaker System Thats Affordable But Doesnt Compromise On Quality Any In Mind
i was thinking of a -channel multimedia speaker system or maybe a HTIB. i intend to use it for watching dvd's, playing music from my ipod, console gaming and i also want to hook it up to a projector instead of a actual TV. looking for the best possible quality with a max budget of 500 dollars. wall mountable sets are preferred. And also wondering if there could be any compatibility issues that could come up. please advise, oh and specific systems would help a lot more then random brands or if u have a link that could help pls pass it along. ~~~ theroxbury89 ~~~

I personally have an onkyo htib that is usually on sale for $449 but is now 499. They have one for only $269 that is a system. I do like yamaha because they have excellent recievers that reproduce music well but they have never been known for thier speakers. Check out both links, You will probably like these, I own one and I absolutely love it. Its loud and has many inputs. /ssm/Onkyo-5-1-Channel-Home-Theater-System-HT-SR600/sem/rpsm/oid/179767/catOid/-12954/rpem/ccd/ Also try ( if you want to push it to the limit of your budget) /ssm/Onkyo-7-1-Channel-Home-Theater-System-HT-SR800/sem/rpsm/oid/177422/catOid/-12954/rpem/ccd/

Answer 1For audio equipment, you have to read "The Absolute Sound". It's really a magazine, but they also have a webpage: / They mostly review high-end gear, but they also review budget equipment from time to time. More than that, the magazine will teach you about audio, so you'll know what to look for. Another way to do this is to go to your local high-end audio shop and listen to a couple expensive systems . . . then look for the cheap system that sounds the most like the expensive ones.
Answer 2I know the perfect system for you! I guarentee you will LOVE this. Yamaha makes excellent Home-Theater in a BOX. The cheapest ones out perform all walmart units! For only like $449. I just set up one the other day at a customers house and he really loved the system. Then theres teh step up for a bit more.
