The idea behind the technique is to take the position of the north node of the Moon from a chart and place it at 0 degrees Aries then adjust the rest of the chart accordingly. The signs of the house cusps and the zodiacal positions of the planets change but the aspects and geometric relationships remain the same as the traditional tropical chart. Since the system uses tropical Aries and the tropical zodiac, it can't be older than the invention of the Tropical Zodiac. Truly ("very") ancient (. pre-Hellenistic) astrology did develop a form of omenology that employed the use of the equinoxes, but at a time when the sidereal Aries point was closer to the winter solstice (c. 8000 BC - Noonan).
