Best Answer To Insurance Registration Question
If you get caught you could get arrested, they could sue you or take you to small claims court and if you lose and can't pay they can garnish your wages until it's all paid off. I had to go through all of that when I was hit by a driver with no insurance and no driver's license. It's better to face the music now, the longer you try and hide, the worse it will be for you. It also depends on which state you live in, laws vary.

Answer 3Your question doesn't make sense. If you did a hit and run, leaving the scene, how do "They" have the information? If you are at fault, and have no insurance, you will pay for the other person's damage out of your pocket, and it makes no difference where the car was bought. Also, you *may* get a ticket for no insurance.
Answer 4If found guilty of driving with no insurance, your car can be impounded and you will be fined and possible suspension of your license. Hit and run is a felony and you could go to jail.
Answer 5Every State will vary. Here in CA, if you were convicted of a Hit Run. Your DL will be suspended and causing for you to file an SR-22 for 3 years. This violation will stay on your driving record for 7 years, be chargeable for 3 to 5 by various insurance carriers. Criminally, I believe it is a misdemeanor. More and likely, you will not do jail time; but, will be arranged Community Service hours to serve instead of jail time. For the injury part, they legally have 12 months to claim injuries after a loss. For no insurance, you will be sentenced anywhere from $750 - $1500 fine, unless you show intent and purchase insurance afterwards so that the judge will lower your fine. You wil gain a second suspension inwhich will stay on your record for 3 years, that will be overshadowed with an SR-22 filing as well (will be counted at the same time as h r requirement). If there are any damages or injuries. This will be liable of the registered owner and/or yourself (depending if someone else owned and gave you permission to drive) Therefore, you can be forced to pay restitution by the courts, by personal agreements, or by garnishment depending on the extent of your denial to pay. I would believe most states may be within the same fashion; but, could be different. You got yourself in to a pretty heavy mess. If I were you, I would speak to the person you hit and work out an arrangement, if possible. Assure you put it in writing and not run away in the aspects, that you have already done it once and got yourself deep.
