Best Answer To Insurance Question
Hi CAL, I'll try to answer this question for you too. 1. Try Independent adjusting companies websites to see if they have any openings some will hire people with no experience so they can train you the way they want. Crawford is the biggest. 2. A few insurance companies will hire you if you don't have any experience, but the starting pay will blow. Try the following website. 3. Sorry, I have no clue where to find a vocational school in TX that has the adjusters course but I would highly recommend this route. 4. Check out these claims business websites for advise and other information. Register for the websites and join their forums where you can talk to adjusters and sometimes get leads to jobs. / / Good Luck
All Answers To Insurance Questions
Answer 1Likely not. You can ask your personal agent for a referral to an "outside adjuster" who might consider training you at no cost to you - but no pay to you, either. Then if you WORK for an outside adjusting firm, like Crawford and Co., it's straight commissions, not salary. It's easier getting in that way, than through a company, but the company offers the salary (but it's LOW!!) and training.

Answer 3A number of companies have training programs. Best bet is to submit your resume and see what turns up. It can take a while but it is worth it in the end.
