Military. I Bought A New Fieldpack When I Ord 4 Years Ago. I Have Never Used Until Recently. It Was Still Kept In The Plastic Bag That Comes With It.

Military : How Do I Maintain My Green Army Fieldpack

I bought a new fieldpack when I ord 4 years ago. I have never used until recently. It was still kept in the plastic bag that comes with it. However, when I opened it, I find that the insides of the fieldpack has turned sticky and goo-ey. What exactly happened it? Has it gone mouldy? Is there a way to stop it from turning sticky? Please help. Thank you. The army fieldpack I'm referring to is the one Singapore army carries. Sorry to cause misconception. ~~~ newbiex ~~~

i am assuming that you are referring to the ..E. pack. (All purpose Light weight Individual Carrying Equipment) it has 3 external "pouches", a draw string main compartment, and a flap over the maint compartment?? scrub it out with hot water, soap, and a good stiff nail brush. that is the the only way that i can see cleaning it. as far as maintaining it... regular cleaning by the above method (nail brush optional).
