I believe the PJs are considered "special forces" or "special operations forces" and do offensive combat missions such as airfield seizure and combat search and rescue. I think there are also AF close air support personnel assigned directly to Army Special Forces teams but I don't know where they come from.

Answer 5The qualifications are different for all of the USAF special forces. SERE is the easiest to get into by far. TAC-P, CCT, And PJ's are much tougher. You need to havr the required ASVAB score. A general score of 55 will qualify you. You also have to be physically qualified at the MEPS. You also have to take the PAST test(consists of a run, situps,pushups, 500 meter swin, chinups.
