Military : How Long Do Pilots Have To Stay In The Marines
I know that in the Air Force you have to be ready to commit ten or eleven years in order to become an airplane pilot. What about in the Marines? And what about helicopter pilots in the Air Force and the Marines? I want to join the military for 4-6 years after I graduate, maybe more if I really enjoy it. ~~~ Ethan J ~~~

My understanding on it and I was enlisted is this. Most branches if they paid for your collage and then also your flight training will have a obligation of around 6 years. After that it more or less comes down to them being augmented. They are pretty much just going for the ride. Officers have the privilege to resign there commission were as enlisted people have to server out there contract. So if the enlisted person gets into trouble(to which they have control over)and they get caught often times end up in jail were as the Officer can say I'm done and so before the law catches up to them they are sitting some place drinking a grape knee high. Yes being an officer has its perks so does enlisted, I'm just happy with the fact i stayed enlisted would not want the hassles of the O side of the house enlisted was bad enough I guess. Still like it over all.
