No. The Marines do not have firefighters (people that put out fires). When the Marines get in to a fire fight, that means they are shooting at people and people are shooting at them. The Navy has a rate (Damage Control) that amongst other duties fight fires. On submarines (where I was in the Navy) all personnel are trained to fight fires. The Air Force has a fire fighter specialty. I would imagine the Coast Guard is similar to the Navy and the Army is similar to the Marines regarding the above.

Answer 2No, depending on what kind of fire fighter you want to be, your best bet is with the Air Force as a fire fighter on the flight line or the National Park service. Better yet, be a civilian fire fighter.
Answer 3No, because you don't have a choice in the Marine Corp. You can however get a guaranteed job in the Air Force and I believe you can in the Navy too.
Answer 4You can be a fire fighter in the Marines. We have crash fire rescue as the Airforce does. You wont be climbing a ladder into burning buildings, and it is hard to get into because it is a small field.
