Countries around the world are now getting interconnected via alot of means. I was wondering, is it possible that, if suddenly a technological marvel (supervirus) that's soo powerful and intelligent, it can cripple a country's network, enter the country's defence systems, take control of the weapons, and start attacking other countries? ~~~ Abang Johnny ~~~

Answer 7Yes I got your point, there is one movie then in the 1980's if I am not mistaken that tackle this kind of topic, a virus that attacked the computer system of the US, I just forgot the title of it. Then there is of course, the block-buster movie of Arnold Swarzenegger'terminator'1-3 which is also the topic of machines taking over the earth. ALL OF THESE ARE FICTIONAL, fantastic stories which is for me is very UNLIKELY to happen, why you may ask? Good question. For one thing, they are machine created by man. So man is the one who give its command and create and destroy it if the time comes if not anymore useful. Virus destroy things like we have here in the net spam, do they do something else besides duplicating or masking themselves as something? They absolutely do not do special things like opening the computer when nobody is around and surfing the net to look for someone the computer like or love, because machine doesnot possess feelings unlike we humans do. Do they have feelings too? I doubt it. You kick a computer or the console does it say'oooouch'? I do not think the powerful weapons we humans built will be use if ever,they will rust and turn to dust to their storage rooms. If that will happen what is the use of all these working, raising family,giving love to your girlfriend or boyfriend for...etc...life has a meaning and these people must preserve its meaning for eternity. Get my point. Don't watch too many sci-fi movies ok turn to comedy and drama sometimes. Feel the human being in you. You are NOT A ROBOT.

Answer 9It wouldn't have to be a supervirus. The bad guys would only have to access to a financially-strapped regular guy in the defense industry to put rootkits in important systems. So they should check your credit rating before giving you access to sensitive information.
