Answer 4I would certainly look at the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. I think it is your best option of all of them out there, 250 and under. Unless you just really want a cruiser you have no other practical option unless you want a dual sport. The new models have a gallon gas tank which is nice (includes the reserve I believe). I learned on Honda's Nighthawk and Rebel and they are not quick, they are air-cooled (ninja is liquid cooled and has front and back disk brakes as opposed to a front disc and rear drum). The Ninja 250 has 6 gears, so you cruise along in fifth or sixth and kick it down without bogging the engine and pass whenever you need it. The Rebel and Nighthawk have 5 gears. A sixth gear can help give you better gas mileage, sort of like an overdrive. Granted it is only a 250, it is perhaps one of the quicker 250's out there for the street. Plus, it actually looks good. So, Good Looks + Speedy for a 250 + Practical = at least looking at it.
Answer 5I recomend a VEnox 250, It feels good , more power than the others mentioned here. More comfortable, can be ridden on highway with out all the blowing around and cheaper. Play race bikes are not comfortable and you drop one of them it is costly. At lest go look at a Venox or look it up on the web. Kymco Venox. I have ridden on for three years and loved every minute of it. It is not because I am afraid of bigger bikes I have ridden Top Fuel Harleys own a low 9sec. Kawasaki. I just really like this bike and most people think it is much larger than it is. A lot of women like it because of its low seat heigth. It is worth a look.
