I want to make my hair somewhat similar to how Aaliyah's hair looked, but how do I do it using hair extensions? And how do I put the hair over my eye and cut it the right way so that it's not too long? ~~~ lvbs793 ~~~

Extensions work much like natural hair, but depending on how long your natural hair is depends on how you can best achieve the "hair over the eye" look. If your natural hair is longer than your cheek bones, you should be able to achieve the look without using extensions in that part of your hair. If not, you need to make sure that the extensions are well blended with your hair. To get the hair to go over your eye is more about styling and less about cut, but a good cut will make it easier for you to style. I suggest having someone do this for you, but since this hair is in the front of your head you can do it yourself. Brush a chunk of your hair (and extensions if necessary) forward over your face. It is best if your hair is damp so that it is easier to manage. Now cut the hair at about cheek bone level. Start longer and you can always cut off more if it is too long. Now use the sissors and cut ever so gently in a downward motion at just the tips to keep it from looking quite so blunt. Now dry and style your hair so that that part (your bangs) naturally falls forward. Part on the side of your head and you're done!
