Other Beauty Style : What Do You Think Of Women With Tongue Rings
I'm going to get my tongue pierced and I'm interested in hearing what type of judgements and stereotypes I'll have to face. Not that they'll stope me but I'm just curious. Sierrakeysmom, you just showed your @$$. I'm a college student double majoring in 2 lucrative fields. That answer was just stupid. But I guess I asked for it huh? I have one - my husband didnt mind it in fact he said it made oral sex that little bit better as the ball adds a little something to the mix.. As for what others will think - most people dont see it unless you open your mouth wide in front of them so most people wont even know you have it OH and it doesnt hurt at all to get pierced but the next day when your tongue swells it does hurt a lot so you should have handy some anti-inflamitory tablets and some ice cubes as they both make it feel so much better :) Then after a couple of weeks you go back and can get the bar downsized and it suddenly feels so much better

Answer 13hm, i would say don't do it. the whole body piercing thing is getting pretty old. i had my tongue pierced twice at one time along with several other piercings all of which i grew out of. but that was about 8 years ago when i was in highschool. i agree that it's a 90s fad. it can also cause a lot of problems like chipping tooth enamel and also harbors bacteria that can cause tonsil issues (what happened to me a lot, the dr called it a 'wick' for bacteria). plus if you 're going into a career field(s) that not face metal friendly then you'll end up having to take it out anyways. i graduated 2 years ago from college and have a "real job" and i don't have any more of my piercings. i have tattooes though so i have to cover those up all the time. i guess it just kind of depends on what your path is. but just from an aesthetic perspective, i think tongue rings are totally played out.
