Watch Out! These invention marketing companies that say they are going to help you bring your invention to market are TOTAL SCAMS. They want to take your money. If you go to one of those companies with a totally stupid invention that makes no sense at all they will build you up and sell you on how rich and important you are going to be. The whole objective is to get you to hit up everyone you know for money so that you can pay their fees. As you pay more and more they work on giving you the feeling that you are moving forward towards your goal, but in reality very little is really happening. You can patent your invention for a couple hundred dollars yourself without going through one of those companies. If you really need help call your local bar association and ask them to refer you to a patent attorney. If you are broke and your idea really is good the attorney may be willing to help you for a piece of the action! If someone spends time selling you on how professional or well connected they are you are probably getting set up to get ripped off. Real business people have credentials that speak for themselves and dona€™t spend time trying to convince a€śclientsa€ť how well connected they are. Stick to people with real credentials a€“ JD / CPA etc.

Take your money and get a provisional application filed, this will give you patent pending status for your product for 12 months, "your cost if you do it yourself about $; and you can take that time to find an honest company to license your invention.
