Best Answer To Other Caribbean Question
There are a few actually... But if you're coming from the States Venezuela has some of the easiest and shortest access to some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Isla de Margarita ("pearl" of the Caribbean) being one that combines "western" comfort with fantastic natural beaches and settings. If you are into the even more "untouched" by civilization you have the islands of Los Roques, La Blanquilla, La Orchila. La Tortuga, Coche, Los Testigos and more (all to the immediate north of Caracas/ Venezuela) To the west of that you have Bonaire, Willemstad, Aruba for more of an international touristic setting. But... ! you got me going now... even closer to the States you have The Bahamas of course (maybe too cliché if you're really a "cool..." wordly type... ;-) ) but I don't want to forget The Dominican Republic, Nassau, The Turks and Caicos Islands !! uhmm... that's the location picked for a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Shoot. You also haveThe Great Inagua Island... Last but not least. There's a whole bunch of beautiful islands lined up to the north-east of Caracas-Venezuela (although going through some political unrest, Caracas is still a great clubbing, partying, great dining kind of city mostly unknown to the average traveler...) Okey, the islands to explore to the north east of Venezuela are Saint George, Saint Vincent, Santa Lucia, Martinique, Roseau, Base Terre, Saint John's, Barbados and some amazing little ones in between. In my opinion picking just one and doing ANY of these destinations it's worth the trip... without a doubt. Especially if you love snorkeling, swimming and sweet people. Hope it helped. Have fun !

Answer 1Without doubt Antigua, WI. 365 absolutely beautiful beaches. Great food, friendly people and fabulous weather.
Answer 2We love Aruba, great snorkelling, I am a scuba diver and there are over 15 wrecks to dive or snorkel including the famous Antilles Shipwreck. Lots to see and do. Fabulous people there, great food, good shopping, good night life and great beaches. Bonair and Caracao are a hop away by plane. Very safe Island. We have travelled much thru the islands and not to many compare with Aruba. Good Luck in your travels. Tony
