I've downloaded several hacks for Sims 2 on my computer and each time I do, all my custom content disappears. The folders for the stuff I made myself are still there and the icons for the downloaded sims are still there too but in the game I can't use any of them. Why is this happening and how can I stop it? ~~~ Luna ~~~

You are probably downloading hacks that conflict with each other. There is a handy tool you can download from simwardrobe that you can run that will tell you if your hacks are or aren't compatible with each other. Go to: / then click on sims 2, then programs and you'll find the Hack Conflict Detection Utility 2nd down. you should also make sure that the hacks you are downloading are compatible with your version of the game. For example, if you don't have any xxpansion packs higher than Open for Business you should not be downloading hacks for Freetime.
