Other General Health Care : How Can I Sleep During The Daytime
I work early mornings at least once per week (from 6:00am-2:00pm), I am usually very tired during the afternoon and I want to take a nap, but I have trouble sleeping during daylight hours. Is there any way I can catch up on sleep better during the afternoon, without losing sleep through the night? ~~~ Colin ~~~

If you live alone, which probably works the best for this. Stop what you are doin' the very moment you become tired! Nothing else is important, just drop. It can all wait. Cause' 90 percent of all of it in the world is nothing but B. anyway! Close the blinds. Turn everything off. All the lights, the sound, everything. Take care of the pets first. They are the greatest of friends. Got earplugs? Blinders? Have them at the ready, in the nightstand. Keep The Room Cool! Temperature wise, cause that can make the biggest difference in metabolic rate. Then put up the feet! Forget about everything! Enjoy. Forget about all cares and woe. Ever try breath counting meditation? One deep breath in, fewwww, let out. Count one on the out, or the in, whichever, just keep them the same everytime. To a count of 4 and then start over. Sweet dreams! Also! Once in a while don't try to sleep? So ya don't miss out to much on the world around you, and especially the daylight, so you don't get .D., seasonal affective disorder which can result in depression. Don't work you're problems out in bed. They won't get solved there anyway, but that is not the same as "sleep on it", sometimes that works. Good Luck.

Answer 2I'm always nodding off in the afternoon without any effort, usually in all the wrong times....while I'm in class or driving. It's how to sleep at night that perplexes me. Have you tried completely covering your windows?
Answer 3I find that when you wake up annoyingly, it is usually that either - Your natural body clock needs to adjust, which is probably not your problem if you have worked with this job a while. -If you need the loo then that can prevent you from sleeping, so try and go to the loo as much as possible -Another thing I find keeps me awake is being hungry and not realising, try eating a healthy snack about 20 minutes before trying to nap
