/ This is the Miniature Horse Association website. I assume you mean miniature horse rather than miniature pony. Minis are prone to colic if their feed is managed properly. They get very little hay on a daily basis. You also need to have a vet that is willing to work on miniature horses, they are a bit different and some large animal and equine vets refuse to work with them. Also if you decide that you want to buy one you can look on Dreamhorse. com and you might beable to find one for sale on there. But you have to be carful minis can be easier and harder to take care of. First you don't want to feed them too much. They gain weight very easily and that can lead to problems. But they are easier to take care of than big horses. They still need the basics; having their feet trimmed, worming, shots ect. Good luck!
