Performing Arts : What Trumpet Pieces Should I Play For My University Audition
I'm a 17 year old less than beginner trumpet player and am the best in my high school and I am applying to University very shortly and the audition is coming up, the audition is very important apparently. I need 3 pieces, 2 before the 20th century and 1 contemporary piece. I already have a Haydn solo that should do well but can't find any other pieces. If you could provide links or a copy of a piece it would be most helpful. ~~~ scottlandman ~~~

Answer 3Find ones that you can play. Choose ones that show off your talents and not your weak spots. We could give tons of recommendations, but as we don't know what you do well and what you don't, we can't give real good answers. Go to a store, look at music. Or better, talk to the private lesson teacher you should have already if you really plan on being prepared for college level music and have him/her help you choose pieces.
