Answer 3along Liang Seah Street one evening with my hubby, we couldn't make up our mind what to eat there. We saw many steamboat restaurants along the streets and I made the decision to try them out. It was around and many of the restaurants were already very crowded and full house. We asked a few resturants for a table but were asked to wait for at least half an hour. We walked on, then we saw this steamboat restaurant. The price is $ per person, relatively more expensive than the other restaurants but the good thing is that you can enjoy the steamboat buffet in an air-conditioned and cosy place. We ordered a dual soup based pot, - duck soup and Szechuan soup (spicy). The soup base is not really very thick, but is decent for a normal steamboat meal. We ordered 2 rounds of servings and were very full at the end of the dinner. The bill came up to $48 as we also need to pay an extra $5 for the soup base and also 10% service charge. (No GST) After the dinner, we proceed to a nearby dessert house... See the next tip :) ~ 2 Jan 07 Special Meat Balls, fish glue, dumplings Theme: Chinese/Dim Sum Price: US$11-20 ยป Currency Converter Comparison: more expensive than average Address: 18 Liang Seah Street Check this site: /?id=211 - 29k - /travel/.../Singapore/Restaurants-Singapore-R- - 90k - Cached
Answer 4You can try the Marina Bay area as well. It's an open air area but value for money.
Answer 5Suntec City Fountain Area has this Chong Qing Steam Boat. About 20 - 30 bucks per pax for dinner. Not bad cos the food is quite fresh and a decent variety. Includes dessert as well.
Answer 6My favorite steamboat place is Coca Steamboat because their Chili sauce and Fish Glue paste are so delicious. .sg
Answer 7There's a Korean steamboat restaurant in Singapore. There's also one around the Purvis Street area. There are some in the housing board flat neighbourhoods, usually near the Central. Try Marina South too for steamboat. A cheap way to have good steamboat is to actually buy the equipment and enjoy a good meal at home. You'll save a lot of money this way, and get more and better ingredients.
Answer 8hey, there's one at Copthorne Orchid Hotel, and also at Pasir Ris, u can try view this local site for more places to go for steamboat... http://www. 88db. com. sg
Answer 9There's this fantastic steamboat restaurant, and it's really a value for money. It is called Coca Restaurant. It has outlets all over the world. Two of my favourite outlets is at The Concourse and at Ngee Ann City. It is actually a buffet steamboat, which means you can order as many plates as you like. And the cost? For the lunch menu, per adult cost about $23 which is not too much for a buffet steamboat. For dinner, it is slightly expensive. The food service is simply remarkable and the quality of the food is as good. Order as many plates as you want for that simple price, however wastage of your food leads to extra charges. It has a wide variety of food and this restaurant is really a value for money restaurant, and also serves delicious, yet simple food.
Answer 10Opposite Shaw Tower at Beach Road (where jade and prince theatre are there). It is a chinese steamboat restaurant. Very crowded at night.
Answer 11Try the street behind Bugis Junction (facing the hot air balloon attraction, in front of the Shaw Tower) - there's about 4 steamboat resturant with Tian Tian Huo Guo among them. (Thumb up here) If you walk to the end of the street and turn right, there's another bigger buffet steamboat restaurant - Chong Qing Steamboat at the corner (as lina say). You can't miss it. Coca restaurants are pretty good as Angel say and there's quite a few banches, there's one at the building between Shaw Tower and Thai Embarrsey and another at Takashimaya Lvl 4 if I don't remember wrongly. The last place I recommend is not a restaurant but at a food court type - Turf City Steamboat (inside turf city facing the old racing tracks). The soup there are tasty and prices ($13/adult) are pretty reasonable for a family gathering. (Another thumb up here)
