I have never used anything other than word before, which looks unprofessional and doesn't give me many design options. Whichever programme I get needs to be esay(ish) to use. ~~~ caroline a ~~~

PhotoShop is the standard program for doing that, but Paint Shop Pro works just as well and only costs about $80.. after that, it only takes about a YEAR to get good enough at graphics to produce a professional looking leaflet

Answer 3If you've got word, then you should have Publisher installed to, or if you have the office CD, you should be able to install Publisher. It has templates for all sorts of things, and is really easy to use, dare say there's tutorials all over the net for it too. :)

Answer 5if you want a good professional looking programme then I'd say Corel draw is probably best. Easy to use and simple to get a real professional looking leaflet
Answer 6Microsoft Publisher is probably the best choice, because it has various design wizards that will help you design posters, flyers, brochures and so on. These wizards will take you step by step through the process of creating a leaflet. There are also some in Word as well. But the music is not in the instrument. In other words, you could use any programme (such as Word, Photoshop, Pagemaker and so on, to make horrible looking leaflets). You can also grab a copy of The Non Designer's Design Book which is actually used quite often by professional designers. This is an easy to use book that teachers you some ideas about design.
Answer 7Adobe InDesign is best. There's also QuarkXPress, although that's looking a bit haggard now. You'll never get a good result from Word as it's a word processor and was never meant for layout work. Photoshop is for manipulating and applying special effects to photographic images but is not a design program. Publisher is not very good but is cheap.
