A good rule of thumb is to take a person's age and add one to it. Example someone is 20, so you add one; making their attention span about 21 minutes. Make sense?

Regretfully this is a nonsense question; you will find that kids can pay strong attention for many hours to video games that interest them, and practically 0 time to things that do not. Most people will not even notice things that they cannot relate to, because there is not yet that space in their mind. Older people often have shorter attention span than youngsters (80 or 90 year old folks) they have got to that age by "knowing" what is interesting. You can find curious people at any age. "Intelligent" people need more difficult things to hold their attention.
