Toys : How Department Stores Do With Outdated Toys
If the department stores are unable to sell certain toys, what do they do with it? Go to waste recycle bin? Anyone worked/working in department stores? Please enlighten. ~~~ Nicole1025 ~~~

I haven't worked in a department stores, but in my place, and I asked some salesmen and salesladies about it, and I found out that they lower the prices until they are a bit affordable here in my place. Or they pull it out and put them in another branch of their stores. For example, the Cabbage Patch dolls, they are not very demandable here in the Philippines, therefore, when I called in the toy store, I was surprised that they suddenly went on sale, to a price that is affordable for a brand new never removed from the box. Then after two weeks, I found out that they were sold already. Just some ideas - it's done in my place, I don't know to yours.

Answer 2If those outdated toys don't sell on their clearance racks, they are usually returned to the company for store credit.
