That is probably the worse thing you could do. If you cannot get inside an enclosed structure what you should do is find the lowest possible spot, and lay down as flat as possible at that spot. Lightning, if it is going to strike anything to speed it's course it'll strike the tallest object around. This is why you'll see lightning strike the top of the Empire State Building before any of the surrounding ones, because it's taller, and has a nice copper lead from the lightning rod to the ground, a good conductor of electricity. Lightning always choses the path of least resistance. You are soft and made of salty water, a great conductor.
