Weather : What Is The Relative Humidity In A Air Conditioned Room
Best Answer To Weather Question
I would have to say that it would depend on the area of the country/world you live in... In Chicago, the humidity in my airconditioned apartment is MUCH higher then it was when I lived in Arizona... I don't think anyone can give you an "Average" because each area of the country/world is so very different then any other! Sorry!

Answer 2The humidity is a normal percentage around 40-60%. Air conditioners help keep the room at a comfortable temperature and normal humidity.
Answer 3It really depends on where you live. Only some types of air conditioners actually regulate the humidity. I've lived in both hot/dry and hot/wet climates and there is a big difference in the humidities of airconditioned rooms in each climate, even if the indoor temperature is the same.
Answer 4If the room is sealed, the relative humidity in the room will be less than the relative humidity out of the room. The air conditioner acts to condense the moisture in the room and remove it. This can be very helpful if you are driving in very cold weather. It is helpful to put on the heat to keep the passenger compartment warm. It is also helpful to have the AC on to dehumidify the air so that there is no fogging of the windows caused by the condensation of water vapor on the cold window. This is needed when the front window defogger is not supplying enough hot air to keep the window from condensing the water vapor, primarily from the exhaled air.
