I've been working out very hard and eating like a saint for over two weeks now, but because of what I suspect are thyroid problems, I'm still not losing anything just yet. Granted, I do look more toned, but I need to lose 50 pounds and feel miserable, fat, and worthless at my current weight. Even though I'm trying really hard, I feel bad being this heavy, and I don't want to be stuck feeling unacceptably fat even one more day, much less a few more months. I have every reason to have a good self-esteem besides the weight, and I feel good about myself besides the superficial aspects. Anyways, how do you feel okay about yourself even though you're overweight, and what's more, you live in literally the thinnest city in the country? ~~~ Natalia ~~~

Here is what you do: 1) You tell yourself this is the most that you will ever weigh. From now on beginning today, you will weigh less. 2) You tell yourself you will eat healthy and feel great. 3) You will look great. 4) Remember that muscle weighs twice what fat does. As you exercise and lose weight and build muscle, it won't always show on the scale right away. But you will feel it in looser clothing. 5) Find a friend that needs to lose some pounds and do it together. It's much more fun to walk together, go to the gym together, and even take turns making a healthy dinner. 6) Be sure you drink 32-64 ounces of plain water a day.

You just have to make sure you are, eating the right things. I'm facing the same thing, and want to lose about 45 ponds. I've cut starches and sugars out of my diet. Also, not over eat, try to eat 6 Small meals a day. Also make sure to drink ATLEAST 8 - 10 Glasses of water a day. I try to walk everyday, min. 45 minutes. I've lost 2 pounds in 5 days, so far. Remember... muscle is also heavier than fat. If you are toning your body, do not use the scale, go by inches around your waste. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

why do you suspect a thyroid problem...have you had tests run...most labs use a range of to 3 but some people have issues with a tsh over 2....also, have you free t3 and free t4 ck'd, if they are low you can also struggle..
